My spot for the classic bean & cheese with plenty of salsa verde. Rocio is the sweetest. Fist time there I it was during their Mother's Day celebration, the place was packed with family. I sat at the bar, had a beer, enjoyed the festivities and welcoming atmosphere.
Their burritos are large, not cheap, but high quality! And nothing really is cheap anymore...The help is friendly, and the karaoke nights are fun for anyone.
I order Fish Tacos everywhere that I go, and these ones are my favorite! They are huge, so you really get your moneys worth. And the people working here have always been so nice.
Luckily for us the parking lot was empty but I can see there being an issue on a busier day. The restaurant itself is in the corner of a shopping center and you would not think it is what it was, you walk in and it's marvelous.! Open seating/ bar seating. The attending staff said we can seat ourselves and someone will be right over. It wasn't very crowded and our server came over took our drinks order and left menus. We ordered and chatted. Food came over. Really exceptional! All was delicious and tasty! It has been a long time since I've had actual realistic Mexican food. I really recommend and will definitely return.
Tacos are good but are a little small relative to other places. There's another taco place in town that I'm comparing this to, and on average El Asadero is a little more expensive (especially on the burritos) but for slightly smaller portions. Still very tasty, and nice that it comes with sides of peppers and grilled onions, but I think ultimately this place fell a little short of my expectations. However, I don't want to dock too many points from El Asadero because by all means the food is still good! I think there is a surcharge for using a credit/debit card but didn't get a good enough look to confirm. That being said, would be a good idea to have some cash on hand. Plenty of parking! Seating is a bit limited, so not the spot for a large party unless you're ok with splitting up into multiple tables.
